Town Health International Medical Group Limited (incorporated in the Cayman Islands and continued in Bermuda with limited liability) together with its subsidiaries (collectively the “Group”) is one of the largest listed healthcare groups with the longest history in Hong Kong.

The Group’s shares were first listed on the GEM board in 2000, prior to the migration to the Main Board of Hong Kong Stock Exchange (stock code: 3886.HK) in 2008, becoming the first corporate listed in the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with the business of medical clinic chain.

The Group’s core businesses include: In Hong Kong, the provision of general practice & specialist consultation and dental services; the provision of managed care and medical scheme management services. In Mainland, the provision of medical, hospital management and health management services.

With the growth and development in the past thirty-plus years, the Group has now expanded its business to numerous medical fields, ranging from general practice and specialist services to health check and third-party medical imaging diagnostic. These are supported by the hospital management business as well as auxiliary services including preventive healthcare, health management and medical beauty to realize the layout for the integration of the industry chain. All in all, the Group vows to become an international first-class medical group that has its foothold in Hong Kong, radiates its development in Greater Bay Area and sets its sights on the entire Country.

Comprehensive Medical Services with Territory-wide Coverage

In Hong Kong, the Group has more than 821 doctors, dentists and auxiliary service staff providing diagnosis and treatment services at 435 healthcare service points (with 110 self-operated medical centres). Its service network covers general practice clinics, specialist clinics, dental clinics and auxiliary service centers providing for example, medical imaging diagnostic and physiotherapy services, meeting customers’ requirements in every dimension.

An Integrated Whole Industry Chain Layout

Vio, a subsidiary company of the Group, focuses on the development of managed care business and relieving corporate clients’ worries. With hundreds of medical centres, Vio provides efficient integrated medical scheme management services from diagnosis to collection of charges and insurance claims for large corporations, insurance companies, government organizations, etc.

The Group also became a shareholder of Hong Kong Health Check and The Beauty Medical, and has started providing supporting services such as third-party medical imaging diagnostic, medical beauty and health management. From medical card management in the upstream, to diagnosis, treatment and hospital admission services in the midstream, and health check and medical imaging diagnostic services, the Group’s services have expanded to a full-flow one-stop system. With auxiliary services like preventive healthcare and health management, integration of the industry chain can be realized.

The Group has a clear layout and strategy for its Mainland development. Clinics, health check, etc., have already been established in places like Guangzhou, Shenzhen, such that customers in the Greater Bay Area can also enjoy top-notch telemedicine services. In 2016, the Group also became the first Hong Kong medical group to operate and manage a national grade III level A hospital when it took over Nanshi Hospital, situated in Nanyang City, Henan Province. Since then, it has developed into a “Main Hospital + Branch Hospital” management mode, becoming a general hospital group with an Ophthalmology Hospital, a Youtian Branch and Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation Hospital.

Supported by Solid Foundation of Shareholders, Join Hands to Open up the Mainland’s Market

In 2015, China Life Group, the largest insurance company in China, became a major shareholder of the Group, backing the Group’s expansion into China’s medical market. As the largest state-owned finance and insurance group in China, China Life is committed to improving the social security system, developing its traditional insurance business to aspects of “BigHealth” including health management, health services and elderly care. Under their support and the deep cooperation in recent year between the sides, Town Health International Health Management Centre was opened in China Life Centre in Jinan City, Shandong Province, symbolic of the development of the “Insurance + Healthcare” model. Under the model, China Life brokers who possesses potential can receive training, growing from selling insurance products to becoming all-round service managers, achieving a win-win situation.

The Mainland medical market is currently at the transition of a major reform. Abundant new investment and development opportunities are opened up to private institutions. Given its long history of established healthcare operation and experience in Hong Kong, the Group is well-equipped with a strong medical team, management expertise as well as a mature medical management system, all of which are impeccable foundations when venturing into the Mainland medical market. Together with China Life, the Group will leverage those advantages and introduce the “People-oriented” spirit of Hong Kong’s medical service model to the Mainland.

Tide over Difficulties by Sharing Love and Care

The Group actively assumes its social responsibilities. Therefore, as a frontline institution of the medical system, it is the Group’s obligation to protect the health of both employees and customers by implementing pandemic control measures. Since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, the Group and its staff have made concerted efforts to fight the pandemic, and their efforts have paid off in the form of the remarkable “zero infection” achievement in the clinics of both Hong Kong and Mainland.

In Hong Kong, the Group has been doing its best to support citizens in the fight against the pandemic. During the early stages of the outbreak, supply for masks are scarce and in response, the Group launched the “Mask Donation Campaign”, sending masks to those in need including the underprivileged and children. The Group also actively assists the government to carry out COVID-19 testing, establishing one of the largest nucleic acid testing centers in Hong Kong which had already conducted millions of tests. Meanwhile, the Group has gradually operated a number of community vaccination centres and vaccination stations in public hospitals, and all general clinics of the Group have participated in the government’s COVID-19 Vaccination Programme. In addition, the Group has established mobile vaccination stations and an outreach vaccination team in order to facilitate the elderly and people with limited mobility to get vaccinated easily, safeguarding the health of Hong Kong citizens.

In the Mainland, Nanshi Hospital sent its backbone doctors to the grass roots during the early stages of the pandemic to provide support. Nucleic acid testing laboratories and vaccination centers were also set up to combat the pandemic.

The Group will stay benevolent, and live through the turbulent times together with the public.

Thirty years since its establishment, Town Health is still constantly pursuing progress and improvements. While the Group is looking to maintain its leading position in Hong Kong, it is also integrating into Mainland’s development by enlarging the Greater Bay Area development layout. The Group is committed to replicating the business ecology of “Insurance + Healthcare” to other provinces and cities, in order to provide high quality medical services for citizens in Hong Kong and Mainland.
